Play development by Gregory Caers and ensemble

Different people meet in a mysterious waiting room. Each brings their own story, habits and questions about the world.

But what are they waiting for? What really drives these people? What do they consider "normal"? And - much more excitingly - who actually decides what is normal? Did they come up with the norms and rules themselves or is there perhaps something bigger hovering over them?

In "Mensch", the everyday things we take for granted are shaken up and suddenly nothing is as it seems. With a great deal of humor, the play holds up a mirror to how we treat each other and what consequences this could have for our future and our survival.

In his productions, Belgian playwright Gregory Caers relies on a visually rich theatrical language that gets by with few words and offers plenty of room for imagination. His play "Python Perfume and Chocolates from Pirgendwo" was performed at the Theater an der Parkaue in the 2021/2022 season.
