PLAY THEATER

A fairytale play by Johannes Galli, inspired by the French fairytale of the same name

A rich merchant gets lost in the forest and discovers a mysterious castle. The lord of the castle, a hideous beast, allows the poor man to enter. In order to fulfill the only wish of his dearest daughter Bella, the merchant steals a rose he finds in the castle garden. The beast catches him in the act and demands that he stay with him forever as punishment.
To save her father, the beautiful Bella decides to take the punishment instead of her father and sets off to meet the Beast. She soon realizes that the Beast holds a deep secret. Will she manage to break the enchanted prince's curse with the power of love and redeem him?

What is participatory theater?

Play-along theater is a special form of theater in which an experienced actor tells a fairy tale and slips into the various fairy tale characters and roles.

The children experience the great art of acting at first hand, namely the role change - which the actor performs on stage in front of them. They can not only listen to the fairy tale with rapt attention, but also actively participate. They can call out their thoughts and ideas to the player on stage, who spontaneously integrates these impulses into the story. The children can also take part in many parts on stage themselves! This creates an interactive and lively theater play between the storyteller and the children.
