Moin + First Body

silent green presents

Moin is a three-piece band from London, consisting of Tom Halstead and Joe Andrews from electronic band Raime and visionary percussionist Valentina Magaletti.

Their music recontextualizes a range of guitar-based genres - grunge, shoegaze and post-rock - through an enigmatic reinterpretation of traditional band dynamics. Their sound, which incorporates idiosyncratic approaches alongside conventional compositional techniques, is characterized by an instinctive immediacy that comes to full fruition in their live performances.

First Body works in the field of electroacoustics and ambient, with influences from contemporary music, jazz and free improvisation. Since 2022, they have been combining acoustically amplified wind instruments (such as saxophone and recorders) with field recordings, synthesizers and electronic effects to create complex, multi-layered music.
