Monday movie: BLOW UP
Michelangelo Antonioni, England, Italy 1966
111 minutes, FSK from 16 years of age
In the 1960s, London was the capital of pop. It was the 'swinging sixties', cultural life was freewheeling and the British metropolis was all the rage. It was in the midst of this charged atmosphere that Italian director Michelangelo Antonioni shot his masterpiece BLOW UP. The cult film tells the story of a photographer who witnesses a murder. Above all, however, the story is the backdrop for an excursion into a crazy era and the world of fashion.
