Montagsprosa: Theresia Töglhofer liest „Tatendrang“

On Monday, November 25, 2024, Montagsprosa invites you to a special reading at Orangerie Schloss Benrath. Austrian author and EU analyst Theresia Töglhofer will be presenting her first novel "Tatendrang" from 7.30 pm. Admission to the event is free.

With "Tatendrang", Töglhofer takes her readers to Brussels, to the center of European politics. The novel sheds light on the experiences of young career starters who, full of hope and zest for action, take part in an EU internship and want to play an active role in shaping the future of Europe. But the planning of a peace project for south-eastern Europe confronts them with complex decisions that put their ideals to the test. The novel tells the story of a generation that sees Europe as its own playing field and becomes a pawn in the process - always determined to preserve its utopias. The evening will be moderated by Dr. Karin Füllner.

Theresia Töglhofer, born in Graz in 1985, studied history and international relations and has worked in various European cities, including Belgrade, Brussels and Vienna. She now lives in Berlin and Eastern Styria and works as an analyst for EU foreign and enlargement policy. With "Tatendrang" she is celebrating her literary debut.
