Greece after the end of the civil war in 1949: poverty and unemployment prevail. Emigration is the way out of the situation. Thousands of young women came to the factories in Germany on trains, boats and one-way tickets. Most of them left behind their families and children, who grew up between two worlds. The documentary paints a vivid picture of the lives of Greek women who emigrated to Germany between 1960 and 1973 and worked under difficult conditions. Decades later, the film also documents how the challenges of migration continue to this day.
