Mother's Cake

Mother's Cake is an Austrian rock band that was founded in 2008 and is known for its energetic live performances and progressive, experimental sound. The band hails from Innsbruck and consists of three members: Yves Krismer (vocals and guitar), Benedikt Trenkwalder (bass) and Jan Haußels (drums).

Musically, Mother's Cake are difficult to pigeonhole as they blend elements from different genres. Their sound is a mixture of progressive rock, funk, psychedelic rock and alternative, often with long, improvisational instrumental passages. They are known for their complex song structures, dynamic shifts between aggressive and quiet passages and intense musical virtuosity.

Their debut album "Creation's Finest" (2012) immediately attracted attention and was positively received by the international music scene. Mother's Cake quickly built up a reputation as an impressive live band with energetic shows and extreme stage presence. Their album "Love The Filth" (2015) and subsequent albums showed that they are evolving their sound without losing their wild and unpredictable elements.
