In Jacq Dorn's music, sounds and tone sequences as musical reflections of elementary experiences make their way from those regions of human feeling that are permeated by depth and melancholy directly to the heart and mind of the listener. Lyrical themes are repeatedly counterpointed by furious virtuoso passages. The guitarist of Croatian descent moves between different musical styles, both in terms of composition and interpretation. The foundation of his own compositions is usually "serious music". This is joined by influences from other styles, such as flamenco or Slavic music.
