With the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Berlin coloratura soprano Anna Prohaska ventures into bucolic musical worlds on two continents: The sketches of American life beyond the metropolis in the songs of Charles Ives are juxtaposed with early songs by Gustav Mahler. Finally, Dvořák's "From the New World" aims to unite the worlds when global sound traditions become a new, genuinely American one.
