Myles Sanko is a British soul and jazz singer, songwriter, composer, producer and cinematographer. Inspired by his love of soul, jazz and hip-hop and the rhythmic influences of his Ghanaian roots, Sanko skillfully blends these musical styles to create a unique contemporary sound. The result is a rich tapestry of culture, passion and unyielding resilience.
His latest album "Let It Unfold" (2024) explores the process of personal growth and healing and marks a new dawn. His modern soul-jazz sound, which he enriches with groovy beats, is even more refined and he has also grown as a storyteller. His unique approach to songwriting and rich musical structures enrich each track with emotional depth and authenticity. He has also, for the first time, taken full responsibility for every element of the project - from writing, composing, arranging, recording, mixing and producing to distributing via his own label 213 Music.
Myles Sanko started out singing and rapping in the clubs of his hometown Cambridge and was a true kid of the streets. In 2013, he released his debut EP "Born In Black & White" on his own label 213 Music and attracted the attention of international record labels. This was followed by four more albums and appearances at festivals such as the North Sea Jazz Festival, Elbjazz, Rheingau Musik Festival, Jazz & Joy Festival and Baltic Soul Weekender.
