Nachhaltige Architektur im 21. Jahrhundert | Gespräch

In the organizer's words:

To mark the handover of their legacy to the Academy of Arts' Baukunstarchiv, Louisa Hutton and Matthias Sauerbruch, together with curator Dirk van den Heuvel (TU Delft), have rethought their 2021 retrospective "draw love build" and expanded it to include a central component: the exhibition is the result of an exploration of the Baukunstarchiv. The result is a stimulating dialog between positions from the first decades of the 20th century, the period of modernism in architecture, and those of the present day. In the exhibition, the selected archive material is divided into 16 thematic areas, around each of which models and drawings by sauerbruch hutton are grouped.

At the finissage of the exhibition "draw love build / sauerbruch hutton tracing modernities", there will be a round table discussion dedicated to sustainable building and providing insights and outlooks on questions of future-oriented architecture.
