Nancy Haynes: Compressing Light

In the organizer's words:

Nancy Haynes presents Compressing Light, her first solo exhibition at Galerie Thomas Schulte. The abstract paintings, inspired by literary figures such as Hannah Arendt and Franz Kafka, do not depict portraits, but play with spatial and light effects reminiscent of blank book pages. Haynes explores how transience is captured through memory, whereby the process of remembering is more important than the concrete memories.
