Neustadt Art Festival Opener - Toucan Noise Invasion

In the organizer's words:

Loud, raw and amplified bands are part of the Neustadt cultural scene and have so far only had limited opportunities to find suitable venues for NAF. The 13th Neustadt Art Festival will be different - we cordially invite everyone to experience the NAF opener concert at the Chemiefabrik on Thursday, September 26. You can expect bands from the punk and grunge spectrum with "Ophelia", "Mascarablue", "Basisnote Bibergeil" and "Zwille", as well as a fire show by "Phôsphorus".

Admission is on a donation basis.

:: Basisnote Bibergeil (Punk) ::

For years, the renowned Dresden basement band Basisnote Bibergeil has been keeping the republic in suspense. Held together by pure greed for profit, the five Biber boys have been proving their good will at exclusive concerts since the early 2000s. With their musically sophisticated hits, Basisnote have long been an insider tip among connoisseurs, but are now opening up to the common rabble with this internet profile.

:: Mascarablue (Indie Punk) ::

Mascarablue, founded in early 2019, are a formation consisting of two guitars, bass, drums and vocals. Musically, they bring a mixture of indie, punk and alternative with German lyrics to the stage. Their songs, characterized by melancholy, move between calm bass lines and powerful guitar riffs
guitar riffs, whose energy is transferred to their audience. The band's first EP "de ́struktiv" was released in July 2022. Further releases are planned for this year.

:: Zwille (stoner punk) ::

Energetic German-language stoner punk from Dresden
Zwille stands for raw energy and powerful stoner punk. Led by their charismatic front woman, the band brings their music directly and unadulterated to the stage. The German lyrics, combined with two guitars, a powerful bass and driving drums, create a rousing live show. A must for everyone who loves real stoner punk!

:: Ophelia (Grunge) ::

Ophelia is a three-piece grunge/alternative band from Dresden whose songs are both rockingly wild and melodically melancholic. You can expect feminist lyrics, written by a woman about women, profound soundscapes and riffs that invite you to dance.

:: Fire show by Phôsphorus ::

Fire helped mankind to develop into a modern society. It is both a warming protector and a merciless destroyer. It is the beginning of our modern civilization and if mankind remains careless in its actions, flames will also be its downfall. In the midst of this polarity, I tame the elemental force of fire into an aesthetic dance and remind us of the energy of the element that once shaped us so much.
