From September 7, 2024 to January 5, 2025, THE MINSK Kunsthaus in Potsdam is presenting the largest institutional exhibition of works by the artist Noah Davis (1983-2015) to date. With over 50 works from his entire oeuvre, the major traveling exhibition offers a comprehensive overview of Davis' extraordinary oeuvre. It is the first institutional retrospective of the artist's work; following the opening at MINSK, it will be shown at the Barbican, London, and the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles.
The chronological retrospective showcases Davis' tireless creativity and curiosity from his first exhibition in 2007 until his untimely death in 2015, presenting previously unexhibited paintings, works on paper and sculptures from the eight years of his artistic career. It pays particular attention to the art-historical and conceptual approaches in his work and makes it clear that art history, visual language and humor, but above all people, were always at the heart of his practice.
