"Summer '69"
Puppet theater
Nothing is in the past here! At a prepared table, a kind of miniature stage, the elderly Jean - a life-size puppet - dreams up the perfect day once again: a warm summer wind, a drive into the countryside, a picnic in the woods, animals, a campfire, a blonde girl and an erotic romance. Piece by piece and detail by detail, Jean unwinds the thread of memory, but it doesn't work without knots, tangles and tears. "Summer '69" is a witty memory training between amazement and melancholy, shyness and devotion as well as an entertaining instant program against loneliness in old age.
Tof Théâtre (Belgium)
The Tof Théâtre was founded in 1986 on the initiative of Alain Moreau. The so-called miniature realism of the Tof ensemble allows the audience to see the puppeteers, with the puppet usually taking center stage. Often without words, the shows are intended for a wide audience. Since 2001, Tof Théâtre has set up shop in an old cinema in Genappe (near Brussels), converting it into a small theater with room for 100 spectators.
