Normal is anyone who is healthy and able to work. The path from self-optimization to eugenics is shorter than the treadmill in the gym: instrumentally rational and murderously delusional at the same time. This is the normality that democrats defend, even against the right-wingers who advocate a new, even more inhuman "normal". And everyone celebrates the normal person, the simple, hard-working person who has been betrayed by intellectuals, lifestyle leftists and elites - which merely serves the cynical purpose of perpetuating the social position of the subaltern. In general, the normality that is promised to be quickly restored in every crisis is a bleak hope. Because the normal state of affairs, "that things will go on like this", is the real catastrophe.
