Öffentliche Führungen zu Gerhard Richters Installation "Zwei Graue Doppelspiegel für ein Pendel"

In the organizer's words:

Every third Sunday of the month, a public guided tour of the Dominican Church takes place at 11:15 and 12:00. At the center of the tour is Gerhard Richter's installation Two Grey Double Mirrors for a Pendulum. The focal point of the work is a Foucault pendulum, which consists of a metal sphere attached to the crossing dome of the baroque church with a long stainless steel cable and a circular scaled base plate made of graywacke, from which the earth's rotation can be read. Two double mirrors flank the pendulum and connect in a special way with the building, which was built according to designs by Lambert Friedrich Corfey in the first quarter of the 18th century. They move between painting, sculpture, architecture and tableau vivant - a picture that is complemented by living people - because everything that happens between the double mirrors is inevitably included in the work. Information on the architecture of the Dominican Church and its history is also provided during the tour.

The number of participants is limited to 20 people.
Participation in the guided tour is free of charge.
