In December 2024 Old Sea Brigade goes on tour with his EP "If I Only Knew" and comes to Germany for 5 dates.
We never know where life will take us. The path always leads to
unexpected turns. Singer, songwriter, producer and
multi-instrumentalist Ben Cramer, also known as Old Sea Brigade, could never have imagined that he would be a husband and father living almost 5,000 miles away from his native Georgia in Sweden. But that's exactly where he is now!
He tells the story of this unpredictable journey on his EP series If I Only Knew (Parts 1 & 2), released in 2024. A time of change characterizes the seven tracks on Part 1.
"Five years ago, my life looked so different," he remarks. "I didn't even know where Gothenburg was on the map. If someone had told me that I would be living in Sweden with my own family, I wouldn't have believed them. So the title 'If I Only Knew' is fitting. This record was made after I got married and became a father. It was a lot to process. But it's amazing. I always let everything
experienced reflected in the songs."
"Old Sea Brigade was my creative outlet for so many of my formative years growing up," he concludes. "The songs are meant to document how I've felt through all these changes and normal events that have been with me over the past eight years. I'm incredibly grateful for this life. Without Old Sea Brigade, I would never have met my wife. This is the reason I came to Sweden. It's the reason I'm a father. This is
the reason I've met so many of my friends. Those relationships are just as important as the music."
Old Sea Brigade's music is just as lovable as he loves his life.
