In the organizer's words:

On 8.6.2024, the second of the long whizzes will take place at Kleines Paradies in the Hemelinger Karibik. There will be very special acts to see and hear with excellent sound on the "Die Komplette Palette" stage. It is the first opportunity this year to experience the stage shining and resounding.

An open air music festival! Right in your city!

The rule is: if you want to party, be friendly.

This event takes place offline.

The stream is the Weser.

There are tickets for different sized purses, those who have a lot can/should give a lot.

The event starts punctually at 18:00h and ends just as punctually at 01:00h.

Food is only available in the form of snacks at the bar,

As in previous years, there will be a colorful bouquet of styles and vibes for good times in the fresh air.

There is a Box Office for last-minute guests, no matter when you come. It is a contribution to the overall costs of the project, which unfortunately do not change with your arrival time.

This is a party for humans, animals are not allowed.

Iris Romen (Berlin)

Vintage Pop Deluxe

The Dutch singer-songwriter Iris Romen has been living in Berlin for 20 years
and is still a bit of an insider tip.
Perhaps also because she likes to move between genres and combine them with each other. Pop, swing, country, rock'n'roll, folk and blues all come through in her simple songs, which sound like a different time, the 1960s at its best.
With her Framus guitar from 1962, Fender Rhodes and the 'Reporter' microphone from 1953 in the usual vintage setup, Iris will take you on a musical and biographical journey with her velvety low and clear high notes (and a pinch of humor).

Drummer Micha Fromme's (Jesper Munk, Joel Sarakula, Buhai) relaxed style and sensitive accompaniment on drums will leave no one sitting still.
Alexey Wagner is an incredibly versatile guitarist who makes every genre glow and blossom with his alert playing style, which knows the essence of the styles and yet always gives them a twist of their own.

After 2 solo albums as a singer-songwriter ('Vintage Gal Hour' and 'Late Bloomer'), her German-language album 'Kleinod' will be released in mid-2024, containing some of her favorite songs from different decades as well as her own songs, written together with her good friend, musician and producer Andi Fins.

She is currently on tour as a singer and multi-instrumentalist with the female formation 'The Joni Project' from Hamburg, which is dedicated to the music of Joni Mitchell.

Textor (Kinderzimmer Productions / Berlin)

As delicate and slender the master, as heavy the work. "So tun als ob" has, perhaps surprisingly for some, become a pure rap album. That's a good thing! No more extended excursions into the sung song and orchestral segment, only a few references to jazz or folk, very different from the last Textor solo album, "Schwarz, Gold, Blau" from 2012, for example. At most, a few traces of the dense, eclectic sampling structures that have characterized the work of his duo Kinderzimmer Productions since the mid-90s. "So tun als ob" is simultaneously bone-dry and full of juice, slimmed down and fat, dewy and well-hung. Being able to unite these opposites is proof of his mastery - in creating lyrics, in building tracks, not least in delivering them.

In his Kreuzberg studio, Textor has taken his time - depending on how you look at it, it may have taken him ten years or just one - to build a collection of minimalist beats for maximum impact, with just a few well-dosed ornaments. He did most of it on his own, with support from Quendolin Fender on three tracks. The beats form a stable foundation at the bottom, but leave plenty of space and air at the top for eleven brand new, sometimes twisted, sometimes straight, sometimes fast-paced, sometimes artfully dragged-out trains of thought that are unparalleled in the recently rather dull German rap landscape. The skills of an old hand meet the heart of a youngster that still beats undauntedly within him.

The few guests on this album do not contribute any additional rap verses, but rather provide vocal highlights: Steffi Frech on "Kein Gefühl", Fama M'Boup on "Es dreht sich" and Kenchi & The Sun on "Klickediklick". Textor handles the rest effortlessly on his own, with his versatility in tempo and style. The lush mastering by Rashad Becker from Dubplates und Mastering not only gives the work the finishing touches, but also an authority that makes "So tun als ob" THE rap album of the year - something for hip hop kids of all ages and of all stripes.

Indeed: "This is how it has to be."

Crème de la Brême (Hemelinger Karibik)

The house band of the entire palette with Captain Papa Lette on drums. Ubeyde Cimen on bass, Legbo Übertriber on guitar, Andreas Paparoussos on keys and Ole Kadelka on percussion. Funk is the basis, the common groove is the goal. Everything is improvised, nothing is rehearsed, this is a celebration of the shared moment.

About Gu:

Gu is a DJ, musician, label owner, producer, author and producer from Northern Germany. His dedication to music began in the late eighties when he was still a teenager and he has been playing vinyl ever since. Over the years he has collaborated with a number of his favorite DJs and artists such as Keb Darge, Andy Smith, Snowboy, The New Mastersounds, Osaka Monaurail, The Sweet Vandals, The Allergies, Andy Cooper of Ugly Duckling, Daddy-O of Stetsasonic and Chuck D of Public Enemy to name a few. His DJ career has taken him all over Europe. Since 2009, he has been on air every week with his radio show Home Diggin', which was also picked up by Chuck D's Rapstation in 2019. He is also the lead singer/rapper of the songcore duo Sorry We're Closed and the hip-hop outfit Alder Ego. He also reads from his book of one-liners and performs on slam poetry stages. His first compilation "This Is DJs Choice Vol. 4" was released in February 2024 on Unique Records.
