PULSE#12 - earbody
PICK OF THE DAY
You cannot miss this event.
In the organizer's words:
Just a string quartet is not enough for us: our annual concert will feature video, dance, live electronics and a spatial design. A multimedia world premiere of a work commissioned by PULSE from the Japanese composer Reika Hattori, who lives in Bremen, takes center stage. From ear to toe and everything in between: Lucy Kilger's Quify features Ria Rehfuß from Freiburg. And the audience could actually dance along to Bryce Dessner's Aheym: A solid 5-four beat runs through the entire piece. David Lang's almost never was forms a counterpoint with dreamy, romantic sounds. The concert takes place in a space designed by Hassan Shaidaei.
Bryce Dessner: Aheym (2009)
David Lang: Almost All the Time (2014)
Lucia Kilger: quify (2020)
Reika Hattori: Neues Stück (2024,UA)
PULSE: Johannes Haase and Malin Grass (violins), Yuko Hara (viola), Nathan Watts (cello), Pablo Garretón (sound direction)
