Anna Pauline Kohn (vocals) and Lisa-Marie Bruynen (drums) are PAULINKO and are fed up with guys who want to tell you how it's done. While PAULINKO's first singles - including the hit "Bis die Sonne aufwacht" ("Until the Sun Wakes Up") - were created by Anna Pauline Kohn alone with the producer duo koenigsallee, PAULINKO has now grown into a duo and has been joined by Lisa-Marie Bruynen on drums, who also really gets into it live.
Reminiscences of Twenty One Pilots cannot be dismissed. Lisa-Marie not only fits in perfectly with PAULINKO musically, but also with the character of the band as a queer woman who has just had a son with her wife: PAULINKO also sees itself as the mouthpiece of a generation of post-millennial women who simply live female empowerment and don't give a shit about conventions, take their lives into their own hands and live as they see fit.Since PAULINKO released their first single "Bis die Sonne aufwacht" at the end of 2021, the band has been a regular guest on the most important playlists in the German music scene. Whether "Gegen den Strom" on Spotify, "Deutsch Pop Deluxe" on Apple or scene playlists such as "Neue Neue Deutsche Welle" by diffus magazine - the singles strike a chord and ensure steadily rising streaming figures.
PAULINKO's musical references are always Nena, the Humpe sisters (2Raumwohnung in particular is at the top of PAULINKO's personal playlist), but also bands from the first
Whoever sees the band live will be blown away by 2x 150% energy. Pure party! PAULINKO has now become the ultimate opponent of the dick quota
and ensures that not only CIS student men and bearded men populate the stages at festivals.
