Please, Let There Be Peace

In the organizer's words:

The existential tragicomedy "Please, Let There Be Peace" by Marta Sokołowska (Poland), directed by Wojciech Urbański (Poland), is about xenophobia and the inner struggle with the past. A Polish physicist of Jewish descent, shaped by the Manhattan Project and the shadows of war, wrestles with questions of peace, responsibility and tradition.

This work-in-progress production is being developed by theater makers from Germany and Eastern European countries as part of the international workshop for directing and dramaturgy "Sammelpunkt" (English: "Focal Point"; Russian: "Точка сборки").

As one of the first attempts at a dialog in the cultural field since February 2022, this workshop aims to create a platform for artists and cultural professionals from different countries who wish to express their views on the European historical situation.
