Sleeping and dreaming together is an ancient practice. In the sleeping temples of antiquity, sick people sought healing in their dream images. And even today, lying down in a shared space and in contact with one's own body and surroundings can be a borderline experience that enables us to perceive, invent and encounter in new ways. With hooops, which invite us to take a collective nap, we enter an intermediate space in which we can relax and imagine.
The event takes place in exchange with the exhibition and reading program Wor(l)ding Dreamers of the Galerie im Turm and consists of three parts.
4-5 pm: Resting with the collective hooops and the poets Johanna Hühn and Charlotte Warsen (DE)
5-6pm: Focused listening session with the sound artist Alifiyah Imani
6 pm: Reading with the poets Hannah Abdullahi, hn. lyonga and Savannah Sipho (EN)
The parts can be attended individually or as a block.
The event will be partly held in English.
