Natja Brunckhorst was able to draw on true events for her summer comedy about a group of friends who, together with their neighbors, want to stop the triumphal march of capitalism: Millions of marks from the GDR migrated into underground vaults near Halberstadt for the currency union - a total of almost 400 tons of banknotes. It is certain that money was stolen from these tunnels. To this day, no one knows exactly how much was actually involved.
Natja Brunckhorst developed her story from this source: a humorous adventure in a time when anything seemed possible. It is about money and justice - and about what really counts in life: Friendship and family.
