Queer Ancestors Ritual

In the organizer's words:

The "Queer Ancestors Ritual" is an interactive performance by and for the community. Realized by the Bubble Collective and some accomplices based on a concept by Daan van Kampenhout. Afterwards there will be drinks, hangouts, chilled music and ultra-delicious Küfa food. All proceeds go to anti-racist and queer initiatives.
When we think of our queer ancestors, many of us only think of Stonewall. But we have always been there: in every family, in every city, in every generation, in every place in the world. We've had to hide, been persecuted, been celebrated, struggled to survive, won Ru Paul's Drag Race and couldn't wait to move to a big city.

As a bubble collective, we have organized a big party each of the last few years. This year, instead, we want to create a collective dreamspace - a place to meet our ancestors, embody them and see our queer present anew through them. We miss our elders!

Space
Space is limited. Registration is first come, first serve! We have reserved a third of the places for people who are affected by multiple discrimination or who say of themselves: "People like me are rarely to be found at queer events in Leipzig. If this applies to you, please let us know when you register. You don't have to explain anything else.

Language
The ritual will be held in German. There will be English interpretation.

Accessibility
The location is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. During the ritual it can sometimes be tight and there may be physical contact. If you have special needs, write us an email to hellobubble@riseup.net and we will try to make it possible for you to come.

COVID
Please come tested and stay at home if you have cold symptoms.
