When is a body "beautiful"? What makes it aesthetically and socially acceptable, on stage and on the streetcar? The Italian Silvia Gribaudi tackles the subliminal norms in art and society that construct myths of elegance and grace. These particularly affect the female body, which the former ballerina from Turin liberates from normative role models with wit and humor. Who would think, for example, that the performer Claudia Marsicano could be an energetic fitness instructor with her expansive physique? That her weighty presence could get the audience moving and laughing so much? What sets Gribaudi apart is not only her commitment, but just as much her authentic, irresistible humor. There is no fourth wall between stage and auditorium here. In R. OSA, the audience itself practically becomes the protagonist and enjoys taking part in the physical exercises. This is how relaxed and enthusiastic things can be when formatted perspectives are broken down! Because R. OSA means something like: Rosa dares. She dares to do what society forbids her to do. Marsicano and the audience master the daring and its challenge together and full of joy in "Ten Exercises for a New Virtuosity", inspired by Jane Fonda's aerobics and the exuberant figures of the Colombian painter and sculptor Fernando Botero. R. OSA shows: What seems to be mutually exclusive actually creates lots of good humor!

[R. OSA is a physical tour de force based on the American actress Jane Fonda's aerobics videos from the 1980s. The ideal image of a woman's body celebrated in these videos is completely turned on its head by the wellknown Italian actress Claudia Marsicano with humor and self-irony in a brilliant one-woman show.
