RANKEMANN unplugged

RANKEMANN - 2 musicians, a whole universe. At the center is the love of nature and being human. Pathos with a wink meets charisma and diversity: sometimes gentle, often energetic and powerful, but always honest and straight to the point.

The core of the RANKEMANN project consists of the songwriters Boris Bläske (composition, lyrics, singer, dulcitar) and Thomas Tschirner (composition, lyrics, guitar, bass, synths, drums, production).

We first met as musicians in a classic hard rock project. There we got to know and appreciate each other as absolutely reliable partners, both in songwriting and live performances, and not least as friends. In October 2018, RANKEMANN emerged from our shared desire to pursue our musical paths free of conventions and obstacles.

Experimental arrangements are therefore just as much a part of our music as the open, multicultural and cross-style collaboration with national and international artists

Ideas and inspirations spring from our wide-ranging musical, social and societal interests. Everything that happens around us, as well as the "usual small and big catastrophes" that everyone knows, find their way into our music and our lyrics.

The struggle with the demons of everyday life and with our own addictions and fears has a direct influence on our work and is reflected in it in many different ways. Our striving for a free, self-determined and happier life has shaped our common musical path to this day.

In addition to the "good sound", our focus is on catchy songs with messages that cannot be denied a "certain" tendency towards the ambivalences of human existence. Friction and food for thought are just as intentional as the open and sometimes contradictory interpretations for our audience. Our credo: not just to please, but to attract attention...
