You want dirt? You get it! RØDEL deliver energetic stoner rock with punk and heavy metal influences. The Paderborn rockers also have a clear southern rock feel, so that the band successfully combines very different influences and actually creates a very unique sound - interesting, refreshing, fascinating, extraordinarily cool.

The current work WRATH was "fueled by depression, corona deniers and a heating planet" and comes across more hot-blooded than the first two EPs and RØDEL venture further into stoner metal territory. The vocals are rough and yet melodic at the same time. In combination with the high-octane, heavy stoner metal instrumentals, the perfect post-apocalyptic soundtrack is created. Reminiscent of bands like Monster Magnet, Corrosion of Conformity or Clutch - but RØDEL are even heavier, even rougher. Born out of passion and raw, unbridled emotions.

With two bubbling V8 engines under the hood, it's no wonder. And that's exactly what Van Groover sound like: 100% riff power, no gimmicks, no frills. Like a road trip through the desert, with stoner rock stamped on the license plate. The fact that they don't take themselves too seriously can be seen in their artwork and music videos: in "Streetfood" they drive over stuffed animals, in "The Bandit" burgers are stolen. Always present is the band's trademark: an American van. Dripping oil, rusty, roaring.

Founded in 2019, the trio from Central Hesse released their first album in 2021. "Honk If Parts Fall Off" reached number 21 in the doom charts. In 2023, the "Back From The Shop" EP left the garage and made a pit stop at number 38. The rust is crumbling from both works, floating in a pool of oil. And right from the start, Van Groover have been 'on the road' throughout, sharing the stage with genre greats such as The Atomic Bitchwax, Emil Bulls, Motor Jesus, Bushfire, Gorilla Monsoon and Maidavale.
