REPORTER SLAM

Who will be Berlin's most entertaining reporter?

Germany's most entertaining stage show with journalists is back at Heimathafen: the Reporter Slam. Five reporters compete to see who can tell the best story about their own research. The show starts at 8 pm.
The Reporter Slam is now touring all over Germany - and has even been a guest in South Africa. The concept: journalists talk about their work on stage under the motto: always right in the middle of the press! Each of them gets ten minutes. The use of photos, videos, music etc. is expressly permitted. At the end, the audience chooses the new slam champion. He or she will qualify for the next annual Reporter Slam final.

The show will be hosted by Jochen Markett. Musical highlights will once again be provided by the show band "Bommi & Brummi".

Line-up:

Veronika Völlinger works as a fact-checking reporter for @dpa, but also researches power and abuse as a freelance journalist. She trained at the renowned Henri Nannen School in Hamburg.

Hannes Soltau is an editor at the Tagesspiegel. He previously worked as a freelance author for Die ZEIT and Jungle World, among others. He studied in Marburg and Halle-Wittenberg. Today he writes mainly about politics and culture.

Paul Gäbler is a freelance journalist, podcaster and photographer and works for the capital city office of SPIEGEL, among others. He studied in Berlin, where he grew up and still lives today. Gäbler is a graduate of the Reutlingen Reportage School.

Hüdaverdi Güngör is a career changer in journalism. After his traineeship at the research network CORRECTIV, he founded the youth editorial team "Salon5". He has been working at funk's headquarters since 2022. There he is responsible for, manages and develops various formats.

Margarethe Neubauer is a freelance journalist and works mainly for Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (rbb). She hosts the YouTube format rbb|24 explainer, which is about everything that is currently worth talking about in the region.
