RESONANCE SPIRAL, the new work by filmmakers Filipa César and Marinho de Pina, which premiered at this year's Berlinale Forum, will be shown again at the end of the film program.

"Nothing falls from the sky but rain," says Amílcar Cabral on a tape recording from 1970. Women from the Satna Fai agricultural workers' collective listen to the historical document of the politician, poet and theorist, resting while Cabral calls for an equal role between the sexes, which is indispensable for common progress. The location: the Abotcha building in Malafo, a traditional Balanta village in Guinea-Bissau, which has been home to Mediateca Onshore since 2023. An informal sewing workshop, an experimental garden, a bibliotera and a preschool walk-in room. Young people play homemade instruments. Together with filmmaker Sana na N'Hada and others, director Filipa César has been working since 2011 to reconstruct the audiovisual memory of the country's liberation movement and make it accessible to the public. The artist Marinho de Pina has also been involved since 2017. In RESONANCE SPIRAL, César and de Pina document the construction of the Abotcha and the agro-poetic practices that took place, showing dialogues between the archive, performing arts and the community.
