SAFI & Special Guest Groteske Tour

SAFI is a state of emergency. Intense, brittle, uncomfortable and beautiful. Ambivalence and conflict are the starting point. The combined virtuosity of a four-and-a-half octave vocal range, classical vocal training and an art diploma are the foundation, never an end in themselves. Safi's lyrics, sharp-edged and truthful, are splinters of realities hurled into soundscapes. The raw urgency of her voice defines Safi's vigilant view of things - political, gritty, real. Song structures morph into enormous walls of sound made of guitars and noises.

Because all pigeonholes are too narrow, the SAFI phenomenon expands from post-punk and nowave to avant-garde.

GROTESKE is Safi's third studio album. It was produced by sound creator Moses Schneider. The tracks were played, sung and recorded live in real time at Hansa Studios Berlin. Guests of the noise community are Dennis Lyxzén (Refused, INVSN, The International Noise Conspiracy), Sebastian Madsen (Madsen), Cäthe, Rummelsnuff and Paul Seidel (The Ocean Collective). The first singles from the complete work GROTESKE have already been released, the album will be released on November 8, 2024 on Rookie Records.

SAFI will be performing at the Maschinenhaus in the Kulturbrauerei on December 14.
