We live in times of change. Everything is in a constant state of flux, everything is constantly changing shape. This applies to nature, to the seasons, to people and all their areas of life, to society, to political orders - to everything that defines and shapes life. Nothing stays the same.
But what does change bring? How do we deal with change in science and society? How are science and society themselves changing?

Join us on a journey through metamorphoses in the past and present!

On the third Saturday of the year, the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities will open the entire Academy building from 6 p.m. to midnight and, as in previous years, invites you to an evening in the tradition of Berlin salon culture. At the Salon Sophie Charlotte 2025, the Academy will be exploring the topic of "Metamorphoses" together with prominent guests.
