Say Hi to ABDO

In the organizer's words:

The play "Say Hi to ABDO" by Mikita Ilyinchyk (Belarus/Poland), staged by director Nikolai Berman (Russia/Germany), shows a futuristic Europe in which refugees attempt to cross the Narva River... with harrowing consequences. The play interweaves personal stories with socio-political issues and sheds light on the fears, hopes and realities of migration.

This work-in-progress production is being developed as part of the international workshop for directing and dramaturgy "Sammelpunkt" (English: "Focal Point"; Russian: "Точка сборки") by theater makers from Germany and Eastern European countries.

As one of the first attempts at a dialog in the cultural field since February 2022, this workshop aims to create a platform for artists and cultural professionals from different countries who wish to express their views on the European historical situation.
