In this documentary series, two filmmaker friends, one black, one white, embark on a transformative road trip along the old tracks of the Underground Railroad. The network of resistance fighters from the time of slavery helped to smuggle enslaved people from the South to the free North. New Orleans, Alabama, Atlanta, Mississippi, St. Louis, Chicago, Detroit: Can the people they meet along the way show a way forward that transcends the boundaries of race and politics?
