There is no question that the expansion of solar energy is absolutely necessary. Nevertheless, there are human rights and environmental challenges in the industry that must not be ignored. Above all, forced labor for the extraction of semiconductor raw materials, e.g. in the western Chinese province of Xinjiang, plays a key role in many solar supply chains.

The district offices of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg and Mitte, in cooperation with PowerShift, invite you to a multiplier training course to strengthen responsibility and transparency in the solar industry.

In the workshop, we would like to talk to each other and show ways in which participating companies can be better classified in terms of their socio-ecological due diligence obligations.

The aim of the training is to enable participants to hold their own information events in which they inform other interested parties about socio-ecological risks and alternatives in the purchase of solar modules.

The event is therefore particularly aimed at stakeholders in the solar sector who play an important role in consulting, research, knowledge exchange and networking.
