SONICO: Piazzolla – Rovira: The Edge of Tango

The Belgian tango ensemble Sonico is dedicated to reviving the music of Eduardo Rovira, who, together with Astor Piazzolla, stands for the emergence of avant-garde tango. Sonico is a multinational ensemble, one of the few modern tango orchestras in Europe. Often mistakenly referred to as "the other Piazzolla", Eduardo Rovira's innovations have resulted in a creative fusion between the popular roots of tango and classical music. Sonico is the only ensemble in the world dedicated to the rediscovery and performance of Rovira's music.
