A game without a winner. A duel becomes an exchange. The
symbolism of the chess duel is overwritten.
The REMIS exhibition explores the process of networking the artistic
artistic practices of Stella Schwake and Betty Bartschies. Inspired by the symbolism of chess, the space becomes a metaphorical chessboard on which the works meet. The artistic styles
interweave like strategic chess moves in a game. A strategy that
symbolizes togetherness, challenge and shared space for both artists.

In the center, an association of a chess duel without players and
without a game. This transforms the space into a performative installation
for exchange and communication, as a place of metamorphosis. The styles of
of both artists enter into a symbiosis in this exhibition,
play with each other, challenge each other, reconcile each other, offer space
for each other's art, communicate and end in a draw.
