From Sufi Dub to Tanzanian Bongo Flava to Balochi Benjo sounds from Pakistan: the open-air music festival DURCHLÜFTEN presents concerts and DJ sets across continents and borders on four summer weekends (18 JULY - 10 AUGUST), each Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 19:00 in the inner courtyard of the Humboldt Forum - for free and outdoors.

Steve Mekoudja

Steve Mekoudja travels the world with words, always creating new homes for them. He is an author, singer, composer and filmmaker. In 2018, he released his music and poetry album Rituals, on which he turned traditional notions of black masculinity on their head accompanied by mbira and guitar sounds. In 2022, he followed up with Origins, which was accompanied by elaborate short films. Mekoudja continues to travel the world in search of an African identity that is all his own.
