Electro-future-jazz explosion

Sungazer, founded in Brooklyn New York, consists of bassist and music youtuber Adam Neely and drummer Shawn Crowder. Anyone who saw their last show at Gretchen knows that their concerts are an explosion of fusion jazz, 8-bit, glitch, progressive rock and EDM. Sungazer jump into the gap between jazz and electronica, bring the spirit of improvisation to electronic music and conjure up pure jazz euphoria on stage. With their special blend, they work in the border area between jazz improvisation and modern electronic music aesthetics.

Sungazer have been around since 2014 and have since toured with Ghost-Note, Shubh Saran and Moon Hooch and performed on three continents. After the two promising EPs "Sungazer Vol.1" and "Sungazer Vol.2", they released their first LP "Perihelion" in 2022. Co-produced and mixed by Simon Grove, and recorded with the help of a wealth of guest musicians, this is their aesthetic program in a nutshell. The pair also regularly delve deep into the technology of their art on YouTube and reach a huge audience with their quirky video productions.

The tracks 'THICC', 'Drunk' and 'Threshold' are a good example of how Sungazer combine the playful with the methodical and the glittering sounds they conjure up from the electronic world.
