Szenische Lesung "Herkunft"

The Heidelberg Theater and Orchestra will be performing at Emmertsgrund as part of the Kultursommer on 29 July at 8 pm. "Origin" by Saša Stanišić is a play that could not be better suited to the open-air venue in front of the HeidelBERG community center in Emmertsgrund:

The autofictional novel, with which Saša Stanišić won the German Book Prize in 2019, is largely set in Heidelberg, in Emmertsgrund, at the ARAL petrol station just a few minutes' walk from the Bürgerhaus. Director Nick Hartnagel has created his own stage version for the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg, which will be presented in a reduced version on the forecourt of the Bürgerhaus HeidelBERG.

The five actors* in the original costumes will show key excerpts from the theater version and bring the world of Saša and his grandmother Kristina to life. Admission starts at 19:00, the HeidelBERG café is open and admission is free.
