Event as part of the 70th anniversary of CERN: How does it feel to be a doctoral student at a scientific revolution - the discovery of a new particle? How was it possible that GDR scientists were allowed to travel to the West to conduct research in the middle of the Cold War? What is the point of all this expensive particle banging? We invite you to an evening talk by and with people who work or have worked at CERN - whether as pupils, students, researchers or directors-general. Anecdotes, memories and perspectives in a relaxed atmosphere, with the opportunity to chat with the talk guests afterwards over drinks and pretzels.
