The artist Ute Krafft and the artist ASKI (Michael Rogulla) about their exhibition with sculptures and digital works at the Christmas market in the Nikolaushaus: "The hand tells of the life of its human being. Whether strong or delicate, cracked or smooth, scarred or flawless: it is an expression of an individual. In the course of life, it changes, it grows, becomes large, ages and at some point becomes bony and wrinkled.

Ute Krafft molds hands in just a few moments, creating unmistakable, three-dimensional imprints for eternity. In a multi-stage working process, she turns hands into sculptures in any position - whether clenched in a fist, spread wide or placed in another person's hand. Every little detail, every pore, wrinkle, fingernail or ring is transferred to the plaster sculpture. The portrait subject chooses the position of their hand themselves.

ASKI.zone chooses software as the basis for his works of art. The underlying source code describes his work precisely, but also allows for later reinterpretation or further development - similar to the way sheet music precisely describes a piece of music and at the same time opens up space for the musician's own interpretations. ASKI is therefore in a position to take up its ideas again at a later date, reinterpret them and develop them further. A video work was also created in collaboration with the artist Ute Krafft and the shaped hands.
