The young New York millionaire heir Donald Trump is obsessed with power. But in order to be able to reach for it at all, he has to more or less symbolically walk over dead bodies. This is one of the reasons why he has teamed up with Roy Cohn, a lawyer and former adviser to the homophobic Republican hardliner Joseph McCarthy. He not only defends Trump in court because of his racist rental policy, but also ensures that Trump is able to increasingly gain influence in the competitive New York real estate market through backroom deals with corporations, trade unions and even the mafia, despite his lack of entrepreneurial instinct.
