"From Monkeyboy to Silverback" And suddenly 30 years have passed since The Slapstickers started out as an up-and-coming ska band. Full of passion for offbeats, catchy melodies and exciting harmonies. Nothing has changed at all to this day. However, the band has long since fulfilled their dreams from back then: Countless festival and club shows, gigs with Madness and The Skatalites, numerous studio albums, a live album and a big band album and, most recently, contributions to the legendary "Ska... Ska... Skandal!" -sampler and a tribute compilation for The Hotknives. But it was time for a new album, which is now being released to mark the band's 30th anniversary: with the impetuous punch of 1995, but well matured, sometimes gentle and thoughtful - just like a silverback. That's The Slapstickers with their new album "Silverback".

Slightly Rude

Reggae, Ska

Slightly Rude is a young Cologne band that brings a breath of fresh air to Cologne's musical landscape with an energetic mix of reggae, ska, pop and Latin American influences. The musicians ignore musical boundaries and thus create new cross-connections that, driven by saxophone and trumpet, wafting bass lines and funky arrangements, transform Slightly Rude's concerts into offbeat spectacles. Their pieces, all of which they have composed and arranged themselves, with Spanish and English lyrics, routinely blend virtuoso brass sections and catchy beats to create a driving tapestry of sound that surprises, enthralls and leaves you wanting more.
