The metaphorical drama "Dead Hearts" by Zukhra Yanikova (Russia/Montenegro), directed by Stephanie LeBolt (USA/Germany), is about the horrors of war and destruction. In a city of the dead, a dead mother awaits the birth of her living daughter.

This work-in-progress production is being developed as part of the international workshop for directing and dramaturgy "Sammelpunkt" (English: "Focal Point"; Russian: "Точка сборки") by theater makers from Germany and Eastern European countries.

As one of the first attempts at a dialog in the cultural field since February 2022, this workshop aims to create a platform for artists and cultural workers from different countries who wish to express their views on the European historical situation.
