Transparent images: An evening with Analogfilmwerke e.V.
Short film program
Visible and invisible: the cinematic image plays with transparency. Exposure traces an image on the film strip, but it inscribes itself in it. The graininess of the film material, the individual speck of dust, the chemical development process and the quality of the film print are all important components of analog film art.
Analogfilmwerke e.V. has been based in Altona since 2016. In addition to an Arribloc 400 (a developing machine), their film lab also has a cutting table, cameras and tools for developing black-and-white and color film by hand. With workshops and projects, they make analog filmmaking accessible to everyone and show selected works created by the association and in their network in this film screening. Handmade and with heart.
Guest: Chris Gorski, Analogfilmwerke e.V.
