Truck Stop celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2023. Few bands can look back on such a success story. They have continuously set milestones on their road to success. "We are proud of what we have achieved along the way and we are delighted that the fans and the media have voted us the most successful German country band of all time," says Teddy Ibing, veteran and founding member of the band, full of pride. Reason enough to continue celebrating in 2024!

After five decades in the music business, the band can look back on a more than remarkable history. Truck Stop is a legend and undisputed pioneer of German-language country music: the band has released more than 45 studio albums since 1973 and sold over 20 million records. The band has performed at well over 6,000 concerts and festivals in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Simply unmistakable for three generations of country music fans.

50 years of pure country!
Founded on March 10, 1973 in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg, Truck Stop, who initially presented their songs in English, soon played as the opening act for greats such as Johnny Cash, Fats Domino and Chuck Berry. At the end of the decade, when they decided to use German lyrics, they finally became the biggest German country band of all time: While the singles from their first German country album "Zu Hause" had already brought them precious metal, chart-toppers such as "Der wilde, wilde Westen" have been followed by several more hits and unforgettable tours over the last 40 years. After celebrated US shows, massive success in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and three Golden Tuning Forks, Truck Stop were the first German band to be inducted into the Country Hall of Fame.

A special gift to all TRUCK STOP fans for 50 years of loyalty! For the first time in years, TRUCK STOP is celebrating the Christmas season together with friends and fans. On the "50 Jahre - Schöne Bescherung" tour, the band takes fans into their Christmas country world - sometimes emotional, sometimes rocking - and always very close to the audience.

"With this tour, we want to get our fans in the mood for Christmas. We don't play typical classic Christmas songs, but have come up with a very special program - in our country style," says Teddy Ibing, the man on the drums and founding member of the band.

Of course, their unforgettable Christmas songs are included, such as "Erwin the Fat Snowman" or "Is Santa Claus Coming to Texas" - a real country Christmas feeling is guaranteed. But the hits from 50 years of Truck Stop will not be missing either, such as "Moin, Moin" "50 Jahre" or the popular classics "Wilder Westen", "Take it easy" and "Ich möchte so gern Dave Dudely hör'n" to really celebrate the Christmas season.

The "Schöne Bescherung Tour 2024" is a real Christmas highlight for all fans. Even if it wasn't always easy for Truck Stop, cohesion, fairness, respect and country music always kept them together. Nobody is thinking about quitting for a long time yet. Handmade, honest music - that's the band's trademark for another 50 years!

In addition to the Truck Stop veterans Wolfgang "Teddy" Ibing (drums, entertainment) and Knut Bewersdorff (pedal steel, dobro, vocals, guitar), frontman singer and guitarist Andreas Cisek, David Rick (lead guitar), Tim Reese (fiddle, guitar, banjo and mandolin) and Uwe Frenzel (bass, accordion, choir) are also on stage.
