»Unsere 90er« – Nicht über, sondern mit Leipzig reden!

Listening and discussion evening

Konstanze M., a former FDJ secretary who studied law after 1990 and then set up her own business as an innkeeper. Antonio Q., who comes to Leipzig from Angola as a student in GDR times and stays to write his doctoral thesis. Volker S., who experiences the upheaval as technical director at the Gewandhaus. Angela S., a single mother of a black child who witnesses racist insults. Holger S., who squatted a house in Connewitz in the 90s and became involved in nature conservation.

The voluntary project group "Our 90s" presents its interview project on the 90s in Leipzig! Together with the project participants and contemporary witnesses, we discuss the topics of changes in the cityscape, professional upheavals, changes in family and friendships and the question: "What remains of the 90s today?" The members of the working group independently conducted interviews with various people from Leipzig and are now presenting them at five listening stations in the exhibition. Discussion and criticism welcome!
