What influence do X, TikTok and co. have on the outcome of the US presidential election? What does democracy mean in the digital age? And what does Taylor Swift actually have to do with it? One week before the US elections in 2024, the Americanists Prof. Dr. Barbara Buchenau (University of Duisburg-Essen) and Prof. Dr. Regina Schober (Heinrich Heine University) will discuss the topic of "Digital Media and Democracy" with journalist Annika Brockschmidt ("America's God's Warriors", 2021).
