VAGABOND FESTIVAL mit Currao/Zingarua/Saddidanda

The Maschinenhaus at the Kulturbrauerei will come to life on Friday, December 13 with a diverse mix of ska, world music, reggae and folk. The bands Currao, Zingarua and Saddidanda will be presenting energetic music that will get you up and dancing.

Currao is the band led by "Berliner Schnauze" frontman Tom Baumann with locals from Berlin and international musicians from all over the world. They serve up lively live entertainment for jumping, swaying and fidgeting along. There are always lyrics full of critical and ironic declarations of love for their city, which sometimes invite you to reflect but always bring a smile to your face.

Zingarua is more than just a band. It is a musical journey through the pulsating rhythms of the Balkans and the diverse sounds of world music. A musical whirlwind from the south to freak out and dance along to.

Saddìdandà, the name is not a tongue twister ;) In reality, it comes from the typical Tuscan expression "S'a dì d'andà", which means "so let's go!" or "let's say we're going". Thus the name of the band was born when Kinzica moved to Berlin and picked up a guitar and started writing songs that she had had in her head for some time, but which she composed with a kind of nostalgic longing for her Italian and Tuscan origins.
